Fundraising Report
On the 4th July 2015, Busia greater lions club installed new office bearers on 4th July 2015 a colorful ceremony at Hotel la-palm in Busia town.
The installation dinner was attended by members of lion club of Kumi, lions club of Tororo host, community members and civic leaders.
The function was officiated by lion Dr. Ikure the zone chairperson, zone 11 in region F.
Busia greater lions club procured land which is intended to be used for the orphanage center as a signature project.
In this regard the club organized a fund raising activity during the installation of new club officials which took place on 4th July 2015 at hotel la-palm, and the function was officiated by lion Dr. John Ekure zone chairperson zone 11.
During the fundraising to kickstart the construction of the orphanage center the target was 100 bags of cement and consequently the club managed to rise 105 bags of cement, 5 trips of Sand and Ugandan Shillings 3,046,000/= which is equivalent to $951.875.
The club is soon beginning the construction. The orphanage center is aimed at touching and changing the lives of the vulnerable children in Busia District.
