The first Zone meeting was successfully held on 08.08.2015 and hosted by Lions Club of Kumi Central at Kumi. Twenty (20) Lions from the four (4) Clubs in the zone attended the meeting which was chaired by the Zone Chairperson Lion Dr. John Ekure.
The International President's theme was well explained by the chairperson to members as a key guide to the clubs activities which should focus on dignity, harmony and humanity in the context of the centennial service activities.
The chairperson emphasized on service by the clubs as a club without service is as good as a dead club. The need for motivational activities by clubs was emphasized.
Clubs agreed on implementing joint Zonal activities to include among others Leo Camps, fund raising , blood donations and participation in the trachoma program due soon.
