The Leo’s Students and Lions were involved during the day in cleaning the compound of Tororo hospital, washing wards and providing support in form of food items and soap to the sick. Lions talked to the Leos on the importance of responsible adolescent’s life and the dangers of being an irresponsible youth. The dangers of early sex, HIV/ AIDS and other sexual diseases were laid bare to the youth in picture presentations.
Leo’s and the students were informed of the norms, practices and values of Lionism and Leo clubs. The need to always serve those in need and the less fortunate in society was given emphasis and Leo’s were asked to live up to those virtues.
Present during the camp and leading in the activities of the day was the Zonal Chair Lion Dr John Ekure and other Lions form the clubs on the zone. This activity from now on will be an annual event in the zone.
